Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a booking?

Contact us to check the date of your function to see if we have it free. Follow up with a deposit. We require a $100 booking fee. Balance of payment is due on the day of the function.

How far ahead should I book?

The sooner the better, however as we can do more than one function at a time some dates are available longer. November and December will book out early. Most weddings will book one year ahead.

When do I need to provide final details?

We require final details of numbers of guests, time of eating, venue and menu selection one week prior. If you are having your function on the weekend we would contact you on the Monday prior.

What do I have to have organised for you at my venue?

The spit roaster requires a suitable position that is sheltered from the wind and rain.

We require the use of a kitchen or suitable clean work area so our staff can present the food in a fresh manner. If necessary we can provide portable equipment.

As the meal is served Smorgasbord Style we require two trestle tables to set up on.

We provide the tea and coffee, you will need to provide a kettle or an urn for hot water.

Can you provide me with a list of venues?

We haven’t a current list available but with years of experience we can give you some suggestions that are suitable for your size of function.

What training /qualifications do you have?

The management have both Food handling Certificates and Supervision of Food handlers Certificates. As we employ new staff, all are trained in the correct way to handle food as per Government standards.

All the staff are trained by experienced staff to handle all of the menu choices.

All food is monitored throughout the function for correct hot or cold temperatures.

Will I have to clean up after you?

Our staff will clean any area they have used for preparation. We even remove our own rubbish.

Will there be enough food?

YES! We will guarantee it. We will not run out of food for the amount of guests booked.

What do I need to provide?

Fabulous Feast requires the following for all spit roast catering functions:

  1. You will need to provide an urn for hot water if required.
  2. 2 x 6 foot long tressel tables to serve the food on.
  3. Suitable sheltered position to cook the spit roast.
  4. Suitable preparation area for the food.

Do we provide crockery?

We provide disposable plates, bowls, cutlery and napkins. If you require crockery and cutlery you can hire from a party hire venue or we can arrange as an additional service your behalf. Additional fees will apply.
